The Perseverance Zone is a complex zone of silicified breccias and quartz-carbonate veins with associated concentrations of semi-massive to massive sulphide developed within altered andesite of the Lower Jurassic Unuk River Formation, Hazelton Group. The zone is reported to be 600 metres long, 20 to 30 metres wide and has been followed 300 metres down dip.

The Perseverance zone is a newly identified zone been defined by a trench below the Granduc road at an elevation of 640 metres and by DDH-04-31 at an elevation of 1,000 metres, approximately 600 metres east of the trench. It differs from the other zones in the area in that it strikes northwest at 320 degrees rather than north-south. One to three generations of quartz-calcite-sulphide matrices heal the breccias. Massive sulphide lenses from 5 to 10 metres wide are often found in the wall rock of the silicified breccias. They consist of pyrite, sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite. Locally, stringers of sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite cut the zone at an oblique angle. Gold within the zone occurs as free gold forming grains which range in size from 0.05 to a few millimeters across.

The Perseverance zone is shown as two separated sections about 125 metres apart (Figure 7, Assessment Report 32699). The northern section is found in the southwest corner of Packers Fraction and the southern section occurs in the west to northwest area of the Big Missouri claim.

Drill intersections in the Perseverance zone range from 1.97 grams per tonne gold over 36.6 metres in DDH-2005-48 up to 47.4 grams per tonne gold over 9.15 metres in DDH-2005-65 (Exploration and Mining in British Columbia 2005, page 34).

Much of the work in 2004 and 2005 by Pinnacle Mining Ltd (Jayden Minerals) on its 1500-hectare Silver Coin/Dautless/Kansas properties was concentrated on the new Perseverance zone. About 3000 metres was drilled in 2004 and a further 5000 metres was drilled in 47 holes in 2005. The exact amount that was concentrated on the Perseverance is not reported.

In 2005, Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd. and Pinnacle Mines Ltd's surface sampling and trenching extended the high-grade Perseverance gold (silver-zinc) zone a further 800 metres along strike to the northwest. The Perseverance zone consists of heavily mineralized, silicified and brecciated volcanic rocks carrying massive pyrite and sphalerite veinlets with minor amounts of galena and chalcopyrite over an exposed width of up to 15 metres. It is parallel to the main high-grade Kansas gold (silver-zinc) zone.

See Silver Butte (104B 150) for related details and a common work history.
